Rocks and Minerals!

Hello Camp Blazing Trails! Welcome to Rocks and Minerals week! We're so excited you've decided to join us this week, and we're looking forward to what camp has in store! Enjoy the pictures from our Monday out at camp!

The Arawaks all lined up for Roll Call!

The Takotas all lined up and excited for Roll Call!

No day is complete without war paint!

Morning assembly is a great time to get all pumped up about Blazing Trails!

Dory and Loco Raptor say, "GOOOOOOOOOOD MORNING CAMP BLAZING TRAILS!!!!"

The counselors did a challenge to kick off the new week! Mouse was hosting a party, and her guests were very strange! She had to guess what her guests were only by how they acted! Gnome was a mute zombie!

Rhino was a flamingo with kleptomania!

Mama Llama was a ballerina who was a hypochondriac!

Jump Rope was a cowboy obsessed with noses!

Duck came to visit camp today! For those of you who may not know her, Duck was a BT counselor the past two years. She left BT to be a head counselor of FDC! We're very proud of Duck, and glad she came to visit us this week!

Everyone was excited to see Duck!

We all miss Duck!

Would ya look at that? Jump Rope found a bumblebee!

Duck and her new friend!

The Arawaks played Camouflage after snack! Camouflage is a great game to learn the names of fellow campers. It's also a ton of fun to hide in the woods!

Tess is contemplating stealing Duck's keys so she'll stay at camp....mwahahahaha!

Sitting Bull got stung by two yellow jackets today :( But he had a great attitude about it, and chose to participate in the rest of the day's activities!

What a trooper!

Chipmunk Dolphin making his chipmunk/dolphin noise...if you ever see him, ask him to do it for you, cause it's HILARIOUS!

The Takotas had a great time at Tribal Time and playing Camouflage!

Sylvester the Squirrel and his cousins are out in full force this week! Make sure all your backpacks and lunchboxes are zipped, closed, and stored at the shed properly! You don't want them stealing your food!

Ford and Jump Rope love telling jokes to the Arawaks! In honor of Duck's visit, Ford told the "Got any grapes?" joke.

The Takotas at lunch...first we have to say the blessing! Today it was the Superman blessing!

Oh no!!!! A cockroach in the sandwich bag??? Don't worry...it's fake :)

The Takota Bead Time Ceremony! This is everyone's favorite part of the day, because it tends to rain beads out here at camp!

Sitting Bull earned the Takota Camper of the Day for being such a great sport all day! Awesome job, Sitting Bull!

The Arawak Camper of the Day was Antony! Great job!

Blazing Trails, we had a GREAT first day of Rocks and Minerals week! We can't wait to "rock" it out this week with you!
