UNC Air Care Helicopter!!!

What's up, Camp Blazing Trails? We had an amazing day at camp today! The UNC Air Care helicopter came and landed at camp, and everyone got to sit inside and ask questions! We also had archery, where it rained beads! And to end such a perfect day, we had a ton of fun with the last Family Day of the summer! Enjoy all the pictures from our awesome Thursday!

Maggie, a nurse with the UNC Air Care Team, came out before the helicopter landed to talk to us about the helicopter and what she does on it. She showed us the different parts of her uniform that help keep her safe, and answered any questions about the helicopter!

Benton got to do the radio check!

Maggie guiding the helicopter on where to land

The helicopter landed right in the field at Blue Jay Point! The team said it was a great landing spot!

Mouse had to go to archery, so Dory took over as photographer for the helicopter portion of the day!

Jump Rope (and his tights) loved the helicopter!

Alex broke an arrow simply by shooting it into a target! That's a Blazing Trails first!

Jumping Panther's mom, who we christened Surfing Panther, came out to camp to hang out with us for the day! She was lots of fun!

Mouse had to come take a break from archery and hop in the helicopter too!

At Family Day, we opened up the archery range so that our campers and their families could get some extra shooting experience!

Archery cleanup's a breeze when you've got such great helpers!

Thanks for a super awesome day, Camp Blazing Trails! We had so much fun with you and your families today! Can't wait to see what our Friday holds with two special guests!
